Jack is back

Streatham can now confirm the return of all-action defenseman Jack Tarczycki to the team for the 2016/17 season.

The bearded blue liner was a stand out performer last year on both defence and up front as his versatility helped the team when injuries and suspensions hit.

Known for his shot blocking, quick shot and all round bravery, the 26 year old has been an almost ever present since re-joining the team from Invicta Dynamos in 2013. He played on every line last season, ending it as a power forward on the third line and shorthanded units where he impressed.

‘Jack sacrificed his regular position to help us last season which is a credit to him’ said Head Coach Nick Chinn.

‘Hockey is a physical game and you need defensemen who aren’t afraid to get their noses dirty, yet offer real quality on the puck. Jack has those attributes, the fans appreciate him for that, and we are pleased to have him back.’

Jack scored 6 goals and 10 assists in 29 league games last season and is pleased to be signing up for another year.

‘I am glad to be back and ready to join a strong squad that we all hope can challenge for honours this year.’

Will he be still wearing his famous beard at the first puck drop in September? You will have to wait and see!

Jack will continue to wear the number 5 jersey and you can sponsor his home or away jersey for only £100. You get to keep it at the end of the season, however as they are so popular we are going to put all interested names into a hat and draw out the winner over the next 48 hours.
