Capital calls for Warman

Streatham fans will of course be familiar with Warman’s accomplished defending after he starred in the Redskins 2013/14 campaign, with 28 appearances on the blue line.

Warman spent last season at Bristol Pitbulls after returning to finish his studies at the University of Bath.

Originally a product of the Telford junior system, James bizarrely made his senior debut with a lone appearance for the Grimsby Redwings in 2008. Not tempted by a life of haddock and a relaxing lifestyle in Cleethorpes, Warman was soon involved with Telford’s senior side the following season as a fresh faced 16 year old.

Impressive displays at u18 level and with the Tigers and Titans propelled him into the GB u18 squad and his signature has been in demand ever since, with spells at Cardiff, Bristol and Streatham all within his time at university.

Composed, strong and with excellent decision making, Warman will be a real asset on the Streatham blue line this season.

“When James came to London for a year with his degree course he slotted straight into the team and made a positive impact straight away” said Coach Warren Rost.

“He’s deceptively strong on his skates with great mobility and rocket from the blue line.  Last season he played for the very successful Bristol Pitbulls who managed the unthinkable and managed trophies without the benefit of a home ice rink”

“He will be better from that experience and now he’s back in London we’re looking forward to seeing him in Streatham jersey.”
