Locked and loaded for action

Louis Lockwood is our first new face of 2014/15.

Streatham can reveal the first new face in the 2014/15 squad as former Cardiff Devils forward Louis Lockwood.

The talented Londoner was alternate captain last season for the Welsh side and now returns to the club he started with as a junior.

Still only 22 years old despite making his senior Streatham junior in 2005/06, Louis is known for his feisty style of play and eye for goal. A natural goal scorer, Louis was always amongst the goals from junior level upwards and scored a career best 27 league goals in a struggling Redskins side back in 2009.

A spell in Canada bulked him up but injury problems restricted his play over the following seasons, as he headed to University and his spell with the Devils.

“Louis has played a lot of hockey and done a lot of travelling for a player of his age but he’s heading back to Streatham and I couldn’t be happier” said Head Coach Warren Rost, on the player , who famously survived a stabbing in his teens.

“He sharpened his skills in Canada and he’s spent four seasons with Cardiff, doing his degree, and I’m sure he’s picked up a few tricks while he was there”

“It’s important to me to sign as many talented players with a passion for the club as I can.  Everyone is on the same page and it’s a good page to be on.  Louis is a Streatham boy, he’s talented and he’s back.  It’s a good day”
