Streatham ended their regular season campaign with an exceptional evening of hockey that put their players and fans through every emotion possible. The scoreboard at the end of the game showed a 6-4 loss against Chelmsford however it told only a small part of the story.

The pre-game announcement by Liam Rasmussen that he would be joining Captain Joe Johnston in retirement at the end of the season, was the precursor for a match well attended by the home support.

After a lifetime in a Streatham jersey, popular forward Liam Rasmussen has this week announced he will retire from the game at the end of this season to focus on his new family life.

The speedy winger first broke into the senior side in 2006/07 and will have enjoyed 11 seasons representing the team when he hangs up his skates this summer.

The RedHawks play their final regular season game of 2016/17 today as we welcome Chelmsford Chieftains to South London for a 6.45pm face off.

The team welcome back Jack Tarczycki to the line up but fellow blueliner Ryan Giles is still ruled out with injury. Tickets are £10 adults and £6 concessions and can be bought on the gate or online.

The RedHawks have their final games of the regular season this weekend as they countdown towards the Play-Offs a fortnight later. The game on Sunday at home to Chelmsford will also be Captain Joe Johnstons final league game for the club so it will be a special occassion.

Streatham snapped their four game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over Oxford City Stars on Sunday evening. With rain lashing down outside Streatham Arena, the crowd entered the building knowing at the very least they would stay dry for a few hours.

We raised over £800 for the Sandcastle Trust charity at Saturday's game against Invicta.

Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets, donated online and bought the lovely cakes from the balcony. We really do have some fantastic supporters and thanks to the Invicta Dynamos fans who contributed on the night too.

Streatham IHC slumped to a frustrating 7-2 defeat against Invicta Dynamos in the first leg of the NIHL Cup semi-final.

Missing key defensive duo Vaclav Drabek and Jack Tarczycki along with youngster Daniel Clayton, the RedHawks started the game nervously in front of a big crowd at Streatham Arena.
