A threadbare Streatham team ravaged by injury and suspension lined up for the first home fixture of 2019 against the in-form Basingstoke Bison.
The Londoners were without star defensive duo Michael Farn (injured) and Leigh Jamieson (banned) from a line up already missing the injured blue liners Rupe Quiney and Jordan Gregory.
Adam Carr and Ryan Webb scored twice for the RedHawks with Alex Roberts also on target. The Mo’s goals came courtesy of a brace from Owen Dell and a solo effort from Harrison Lillis.
The other talking point of the game was the full debut of teenage goalie Brett Shepherd, who learnt his trade in our junior system and has also iced for Slough Jets this year.
